The Cyprus Tourism Organisation is a semi- government organisation. Its main role is to promote Cyprus within the UK to both consumers and the travel trade and to position the island as a leading Mediterranean holiday destination. Promotional literature on all aspects of travel to Cyprus are available free of charge and we have a comprehensive website, www.visitcyprus.com. Our information officers are able to offer advice based on their first hand knowledge of the island. We also have two sales and marketing officers whose specific role is to liaise with the trade as well as organising educationals, training and sales calls to retail agents. We organise a number of promotional activities throughout the year which include exhibitions, trade events, roadshows, sales visits. National advertising campaigns are also undertaken to create awareness of the island and raise the island’s profile.
